About Us

Our Philosophy

Giant Steps Illinois, Inc., and its sister organization The Autism Center for Excellence, Inc., strive to improve a child's ability to interact, communicate, and develop academic and daily living skills through a one-on-one integrated holistic approach of services: speech/communication therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, social work and educational programs.

Giant Steps works cooperatively with local school districts to provide children with autism the opportunity for successful integration with same age peers in their home schools.

Parent education and training aims to improve the quality of life within the family.  The ultimate goal of Giant Steps and ACE is for each child to develop his/her maximum potential within his/her home and community environments.
