Provides support to the Public School Setting

More and more school districts and not-for-profit organizations are realizing the importance of assessing current services provided for students with autism.  As the number of students with autism entering the public school systems continually rises (currently 1 in 150 children born today will be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder), schools are faced with how to best meet the needs of the individual students, as well as support the staff providing services for these students.  One of the most important goals of special education is to keep the student in the least restrictive environment, while providing appropriate services to help the child develop to their fullest potential.  The Autism Center for excellence (ACE) at Giant Steps Illinois is pleased to develop a district specific program to help meet the needs of your staff and students.  We are able to provide the following services to assist your district in all areas of consultation for your programs that service students with autism spectrum disorders.
